Chapeau, Quebec is home to KT Kennel.

We are just across the Inter Provincial Bridge from

Pembroke, Ontario and an hours drive from

Ottawa, Ontario.

We are a family owned kennel breeding the smooth coat miniature Dachshund.
We have black and tan, reds, brindles and creams. Our puppies are born and
raised in our home in a very active household , we have three teenagers so
our puppies are handled regularly from the time they born until they leave
our home with their new families. Our vet is Dr. Sharon Bell she takes very
good care of all our moms, dads and babies. When our puppies reach 3 wks of
age they visit Sharon for the first time, she checks them all over very
carefully and weighs each and every one them separately so that she can mark
down the right dosage of strongid-t for the puppies as well as the moms. The
pups and moms receive the stongid-t which is a deworming medicine when the
pups are 21, 31, and 41 days of age. At 41 days (6wks) all our little guys
return to see Sharon for another check up and their 6wk vaccination after
this our babies are ready to go to their new homes and begin a life with
their brand new families. We feel that word of mouth advertising is the best
we can have. If families that have purchased one or more of our happy little
puppies and are pleased with his rearing thus far then when the opportunity
arises they will tell friends and family members this to us is fulfilling
because we then know that one of our little dachsies has brought joy and
companionship to that family.

We do our best to breed for sound temperament, confirmation and wonderful
personalities. We give a lot of attention to the temperament of our breeding
dachshunds. The health of our dachshunds is of the utmost importance to us
we strive to breed sound healthy puppies, we believe that there is no other
companion more devoted, loving or loyal, than a dachshund sent from our home
and hearts to yours.
